Hazelnuts: A small natural product with warmth and character

Hazelnuts are familiar and simple, but up close, their natural beauty reveals itself. Each nut has its own shape, delicate lines, and color nuances that range from soft beige and golden brown to deep chestnut brown.

In our creations, we use the hazelnut in its recognizable, unpeeled form. This preserves the material exactly as nature intended it.

A fruit of the hazel tree

The hazelnut is the fruit of the hazel tree, a shrub or small tree that is native to large parts of Europe. The nuts develop throughout the summer and are ripe at the end of summer and in autumn.

In the past, special properties were attributed to the hazel tree. In ancient Irish stories, it was known as the Tree of Knowledge, with hazelnuts symbolizing wisdom.

A beautiful story for such a small and seemingly everyday natural product.

Why we love working with hazelnuts

For our decorations, the power of hazelnuts lies mainly in their warm color and serene shape. By arranging them close together, a rich surface is created with a lot of natural depth and a velvety appearance.

We like to combine hazelnuts with green moss. The fresh green softens the warm brown tones and adds small splashes of color among the nuts. The subtle differences in size, shape, and pattern ensure that the overall look never feels stark or industrial.

This allows hazelnuts to appear both warm and rustic, as well as calm and refined.
