ABOUT THIS CREATION

On a long summer evening, the table is set for dinner with friends. Food comes from the barbecue, glasses are refilled, and the last rays of sun gently fall on the shells and airy Tillandsia moss. The half sphere brings the coastal atmosphere close: warm and relaxed, with that familiar feeling of sand between your toes and enjoying together until it slowly gets dark.

The shells in white, cream, brown, and soft red hues create a rich combination of colours and textures. The fine moss softens the shape and gives the creation a natural, refined beach-like appearance.

After the summer evening, the half sphere finds a beautiful spot on a side table, mantelpiece, or in the entrance hall. In a serene bathroom, it evokes a sense of space and relaxation. The spherical shape is already an atmospheric eye-catcher on its own, but when placed on a carefully chosen pot, the creation gains extra height and character.

MATERIAL & CARE

This half sphere is handcrafted on a dimensionally stable, lightweight base that has been filled with plaster for extra stability. The shape is richly adorned with natural shells in white, cream, brown, and soft red hues. Airy Tillandsia moss between the shells softens the overall look and gives the creation its refined appearance. The flat bottom is finished with a soft fabric to protect the surface or pot it rests on.

Although the half sphere is sturdily constructed, the shells and moss remain delicate to bumps and rough handling. Therefore, handle the creation with care and preferably lift it from the bottom. It is available in diameters of approximately 15, 20, and 30 cm.

In the bathroom, it is best placed in a well-ventilated area, away from water and excessive steam. Outdoors, the creation can be temporarily placed on a table in dry weather, but bring it back inside after use. Due to the natural origin of the shells and moss, colour, shape, and structure may subtly differ per item. These variations give each creation its unique character.
