The feeling of a long summer evening
There are those evenings when everything seems to fall into place. The table is set outside, dinner is from the barbecue, glasses are refilled, and the setting sun casts a soft glow over everything.
This half-sphere brings some of that relaxed summer feeling into your home. The light tones of the shells, the soft green of the Tillandsia moss, and the calm, rounded shape give the creation a fresh and refined look.
Not explicitly maritime, but rather a subtle reminder of water, sun, and long days where indoors and outdoors almost blend into one.
Light, calm, and surprisingly versatile
Thanks to its gentle shape, the half-sphere is easy to combine with other decor. On a large table, it forms a calm centerpiece during a summer dinner. On a dresser or mantelpiece, it brings lightness among ceramics, glass, and other natural materials.
Placed on a beautiful pot, the creation gains height and almost transforms into a small botanical form. The light shells and airy Tillandsia moss also look beautiful in a bathroom or wellness area.
Combine it with linen, light wood, natural stone, weathered ceramics, or glass. This creates a relaxed atmosphere reminiscent of summer, yet calm enough to remain part of the interior all year round.
Hand-built
Every half-sphere is carefully hand-built in our workshop. The shells are individually applied and combined with airy Tillandsia moss. The moss softens the transitions between the shells and gives the creation its natural, lively appearance.
No two shells are exactly alike. Small differences in shape, hue, and structure are intentionally kept visible. This gives each half-sphere its own unique character.
Dimensions
The half-sphere is available in three sizes:
- Base of approximately 15 cm
- Base of approximately 20 cm
- Base of approximately 30 cm
The shells and Tillandsia moss are applied to the base, making the final diameter slightly larger. Small differences are possible as each creation is built with natural materials.
Material & care
The half-sphere is built on a dimensionally stable, lightweight base that is filled with plaster for extra stability. The exterior is carefully finished with natural shells and Tillandsia moss. The flat bottom has a soft fabric finish that helps protect the surface or pot.
Use the half-sphere indoors, in a dry, sheltered spot, or in a humid room. Avoid direct contact with water, prolonged bright sunlight, and rough handling. Shells are naturally hard but can be damaged or broken by a hard knock. Therefore, handle the creation carefully when moving it.
